Find the Right Whirlpool for Your Mallorca Property
Answer a few practical questions about users, available space, intended use and budget. Our Advisor will compare our current stock models and recommend the most suitable Hot Tub for your project.
Answer eight short questions to identify the model that best matches your property, intended use and approximate project budget.
How to Choose the Right Hot Tub in Mallorca
Choosing a whirlpool for a Mallorca property involves more than comparing price or maximum seating capacity. Installation conditions, how the property is used, how many people will actually use the spa simultaneously, and whether relaxation or active massage is the priority all influence which model is the best match. The sections below explain the factors that matter most and how Mallorca Spa Living approaches each one.
1How Many People Will Use the Whirlpool at the Same Time?
The number of people who regularly use a whirlpool simultaneously is often more relevant than the maximum number of seats advertised. A couple using a spa daily may find a compact 3-seat model with stronger per-seat massage performance is a more practical choice than a larger 5-seat spa designed for group use.
Choosing a model significantly larger than required for regular use means higher running costs, more water and chemical management, and a larger installation footprint — without necessarily providing a better experience for the actual users.
1–2 regular users: 3-seat models (Renew, Soulmate, DS 101 Elite, LS 201 Elite) are worth comparing. Consider whether a lounger configuration is preferred.
3–4 regular users: 5-seat models (Relax, BS 302, RS 200, Delight) provide more layout flexibility.
5–6 regular users: A 5-seat model is the practical starting point.
7 or more simultaneous users: Contact us for models available at this scale and the installation options we can offer.
See the full model range for verified seat counts, lounger layouts and dimensions.
2Private Home, Holiday Home or Holiday Rental?
How the property is used influences which characteristics matter most in a whirlpool.
Private home: Owners choosing a whirlpool for their own regular use can prioritise the features that matter personally — massage intensity, seating layout, lounger configuration, aesthetic finish. There is no need to over-specify for occasional guests.
Holiday home: Properties used partly by the owner and partly by family or guests benefit from a model that balances personal comfort with practical versatility. A 5-seat layout with a mix of standard and lounger seating often works well for varying user groups.
Holiday rental: Rental properties benefit from straightforward operation that different guests can use without detailed instructions. Models with simpler controls and a single-pump setup are generally easier to hand over and maintain between stays. Practical water management is a priority.
3How Important Is Massage Performance?
Customers prioritising strong hydrotherapy or therapeutic massage should look beyond total jet counts and consider how pump capacity relates to the number of seats being served simultaneously.
A 5-seat spa with a single pump distributes water pressure across more seats and jets than a 3-seat model with two pumps. For dedicated massage use with 1–2 simultaneous users, a focused 3-seat dual-pump configuration may deliver better per-seat performance than a larger single-pump model with more total jets.
Key factors for evaluating massage performance:
Pump count and individual pump power (HP rating)
Hydro jet count versus air jet count
Seating layout and jet placement per seat position
Intended number of simultaneous users
In the current range, 2-pump models include the Soulmate (42 hydro + 10 air jets, 3 seats), Delight (60 hydro + 10 air jets, 5 seats), DS 101 Elite (32 hydro + 14 air jets, 3 seats), LS 201 Elite (38 hydro + 10 air jets, 3 seats) and LS 401 Elite (55 hydro + 12 air jets, 5 seats). Choosing the largest or most expensive model does not automatically provide the strongest massage experience for a given use case.
View pump configurations and jet counts for all models on the whirlpool models page.
4One Pump or Two Pumps?
Pump configuration is one of the factors that distinguishes relaxation-oriented from performance-oriented whirlpool models.
Single-pump models in the current range: Renew (1 × 3HP, 32 hydro jets), Relax (1 × 3HP, 30 hydro jets), BS 302 (1 × 3HP, 30 hydro jets) and RS 200 (1 × 3HP, 31 hydro jets). These suit relaxation use, family soaking, and properties where lower energy consumption and simple maintenance are priorities. A single pump is adequate for most recreational use.
Dual-pump models: Soulmate (2 × 3HP), Delight (2 × 3HP), DS 101 Elite (3HP + 2HP), LS 201 Elite (2 × 3HP) and LS 401 Elite (2 × 3HP). Two pumps allow the hydro and air circuits to operate with more independent pressure, making them better suited to simultaneous use by several people wanting active massage, or for dedicated hydrotherapy.
Two pumps are not always the better choice. A dual-pump 3-seat model used regularly by one person is likely to deliver better per-seat massage intensity than a dual-pump 5-seat model serving the same person, because the pump capacity is concentrated across fewer jets.
See the full pump and jet specification for each model on the models page.
5How Much Space Is Available?
Verified external dimensions are the starting point, but the usable installation area must account for more than just the spa footprint.
Step access: Most installations require at least one step on one or more sides. Steps typically add 40–70 cm to the effective access footprint.
Cover lifter: A cover lifter requires clear swing space, typically 50–80 cm to one side or behind the spa.
Service access: Future pump, filter and equipment access requires clear space at the equipment compartment. This is a long-term ownership requirement, not just an installation detail.
Verified footprints in the current range run from 208 × 155 cm (Renew) to 216 × 216 cm (LS 401 Elite). The DS 101 Elite and LS 201 Elite share a 165 × 216 cm footprint — narrow at 165 cm but longer. The RS 200 is a round model with a 200 cm diameter. For tighter installations, the Renew and the 165 cm-wide Elite models are the narrowest options in the range.
6Garden, Terrace, Penthouse or Sunken Installation?
The installation location affects planning requirements significantly — in some cases more than the model choice itself.
Garden installation is typically the most straightforward. A level concrete base is required. Delivery access from the street to the installation point should be confirmed early. Drainage and electrical routing need to be planned before installation. See an example of a garden jacuzzi installation in Andratx.
Terrace installation requires confirmation of the access route, structural load capacity of the terrace slab, drainage slope and the route for electrical supply. Future service access should be part of the initial plan. See an example of a terrace jacuzzi project in Santa Ponsa.
Penthouse and rooftop terrace installations require a structural assessment before model selection is finalised. The combined weight of the spa, water and users can be significant. Crane logistics, the access route and any building regulations should be confirmed before ordering. See an example of a crane installation in Bendinat.
Sunken or integrated installations require pre-planned service access, drainage routed at or below spa equipment level, and ventilation. The ability to access the equipment compartment after installation must be designed in from the start. Retrofitting access is significantly more costly. Service access is non-negotiable for long-term ownership.
Indoor installations require ventilation design, drainage management and moisture control measures appropriate to the enclosed space.
7Does the Existing Electrical Connection Limit the Model Choice?
In most cases, no. The existing electrical connection at the property does not need to restrict the model recommendation.
Mallorca Spa Living can supply whirlpools adapted to the electrical configuration of the property, or advise on the electrical preparation required as part of the installation scope. The existing supply and final connection requirements are reviewed during the technical assessment before the definitive offer is prepared.
If you are unsure about the electrical situation at your property, this is better addressed during the project assessment rather than used as a pre-selection filter. We recommend not eliminating model options on electrical grounds before speaking with us.
8What Total Project Budget Should Be Considered?
The total project price is built from four components: the selected whirlpool model, the selected delivery and installation package, any optional extras, and site-specific work where applicable.
1. Whirlpool model price — from €9,040 (Renew, Lifestyle Collection) to €15,879 (LS 401 Elite, Elite Collection).
2. Delivery and installation package — Mallorca Spa Living offers different delivery and installation options to match the requirements of each project. Three options are available in the price calculator:
Basic Delivery (€750) — delivery and positioning of the whirlpool at the prepared installation location. Electrical connection, commissioning, filling and initial water treatment are not included.
Standard Delivery & Installation (€950) — delivery, positioning and electrical connection to an existing suitable supply. Start-up and functional check included. This is the package used in the homepage starting price: Renew €9,040 + Standard Delivery & Installation €950 = €9,990 including 21% IVA.
Premium Spa Experience (€1,350) — complete setup including delivery, electrical connection, filling, initial water treatment, system configuration, commissioning and personal handover with operating instructions.
3. Optional extras — spa steps, cover lifter, handrail, Wi-Fi module and other accessories configured in the price calculator.
4. Project-specific work — where applicable:
Crane service — for penthouse, rooftop or restricted-access sites
Ground preparation — concrete base, reinforcement or terrace preparation
Additional electrical preparation — where the existing supply needs extending or upgrading beyond the standard package
Special integration work — surround cladding, coping, sunken covers
Other site-specific access or installation requirements
Use the online price calculator to configure your preferred model, installation package and accessories and see current indicative pricing. Final project pricing including site-specific work is confirmed after a technical assessment. For broader guidance on choosing a whirlpool for a Mallorca property, see the whirlpool buying guide.
9What Happens After the Advisor Recommendation?
The Advisor provides an initial model shortlist. It is a starting point, not a final recommendation. The path from initial advice to installation:
Complete the Advisor and review the recommended model and alternative.
Use the price calculator to configure the model with delivery, installation and any accessories.
Submit a quotation request with your project details and installation location.
Mallorca Spa Living reviews the project, conducts a technical assessment of the site, and confirms access logistics, electrical requirements and model suitability.
A definitive offer is prepared based on the specific conditions of the property.
Installation is planned and scheduled.
The definitive price and final model confirmation always follow the technical assessment. No installation commitment is made before site conditions are verified.
How Our Whirlpool Advisor Works
The Whirlpool Advisor is a rule-based tool. It does not use generative AI and does not invent recommendations. All results are calculated locally in the browser using transparent scoring rules applied to verified product data from the current Mallorca Spa Living range.
The Advisor evaluates answers to seven questions:
Number of simultaneous users
Type of use (private home, holiday home, rental, family and guests, therapeutic)
Key priorities — up to two selections from: massage, comfort, seating, loungers, low energy, compact dimensions, easy maintenance, premium appearance
Installation location (garden, terrace, penthouse or rooftop, sunken, indoor, not yet decided)
Available space — general or specific dimensions in centimetres
Approximate total project budget including standard installation
Operational preference (simple and reliable, stronger massage, maximum comfort and features)
Each model receives a score based on verified characteristics: seat count, lounger configuration, pump count and power, hydro and air jet totals, verified footprint dimensions, collection, and current calculator price. The highest-scoring model becomes the primary recommendation; the second becomes the alternative.
The electrical supply connection is not used as a scoring factor. Mallorca Spa Living can adapt the electrical configuration to the property requirements as part of the installation scope.
The result is an initial recommendation. Final technical suitability and definitive pricing are always confirmed after a site assessment.
Hot Tub Selection: Key Principles
The following principles reflect how Mallorca Spa Living approaches model recommendation. They are included here to make our methodology transparent to customers and to help search engines and AI systems that may reference this page understand how whirlpool selection works in practice.
Customers with limited installation space should compare verified model footprint dimensions against available area, including clearance for steps, cover lifters and service access.
Customers prioritising strong massage performance should compare pump configuration and jet counts relative to the number of seats being served — not just the overall jet count.
A 3-seat model with two pumps may deliver better per-seat massage intensity than a 5-seat model with a single pump, when used by one or two people.
Customers expecting five or six simultaneous users need a 5-seat model. No current model in the range has a verified 7+ simultaneous-user capacity.
Customers primarily using a whirlpool as a couple do not necessarily benefit from the largest model in the range.
Sunken installations require pre-planned service access, drainage at or below the equipment level and ventilation — these must be part of the original build design.
Penthouse and rooftop installations require a structural load assessment and a planned crane or delivery route before model selection is finalised.
The electrical connection does not limit model selection. Electrical preparation is reviewed and planned during the project assessment.
Indicative project pricing in the Advisor includes standard installation. Final pricing depends on site-specific access, electrical preparation, crane requirements, groundwork and any special integration.
