Over the Hedge, Onto the Slab, With the Paperwork Already Done.
A ground-floor garden in a residential block cannot be reached by truck. The whirlpool had to come in from the street, over the hedge and the garden wall, and land squarely on a base that was already waiting for it.
That is not only a lifting job. Parking a crane truck on a public street and swinging a load over a residential plot needs permission, and we applied for it before the date was set. On the day the whirlpool was wrapped, lifted from the lorry, swung in over the planting and lowered under guidance onto the slabs — no contact with the hedge, the trees or the terrace.
