Hot Tub Installation With Crane Lift in Ses Salines, Mallorca

A narrow courtyard with no outside ground-level access - solved with terrace preparation, a reinforced foundation and a precision crane lift over the garden wall.

Project Overview

This project in Ses Salines placed a Passion Spa hot tub in a narrow side courtyard between the house and the boundary wall - an area with no access route wide enough to bring a spa in at ground level.

Before the spa could arrive, the existing terrace had to be prepared. Part of the steps was demolished to open up the footprint, a reinforced concrete foundation was poured to carry the filled weight of the spa, and a dedicated electrical supply cable was routed to the connection point.

On installation day the hot tub was lifted by crane truck over the garden wall, lowered into the courtyard and set down on the new foundation. The finished spa sits flush against the natural stone wall, with the technical side kept free for service and maintenance.

Terrace Preparation & Crane Installation

The decisive work on this project was done before the spa arrived. The courtyard was measured out, the step area opened up and a load-bearing base created, while the power supply was brought through to the exact position of the technical bay. Only with that groundwork finished could the lift be planned as one single, controlled movement over the house.

INSTALLATION STRATEGY

Restricted Access Is A Planning Problem, Not A Reason To Say No.

A courtyard this narrow rules out trolleys, spa skates and manpower. The only realistic route was over the top - which means the lift has to be right first time, with the base, the levels and the power connection already finished and waiting.

Part of the existing steps was demolished to open the footprint, a reinforced concrete slab was poured for the filled weight of the spa, and a dedicated supply cable was run to the technical bay before the crane truck was ever booked.

The result is a spa that looks like it was always part of the courtyard, with the service side left clear so filters, pump and control box stay reachable.

Coordinating demolition, groundwork, electrics, crane scheduling and precise placement takes more than technical know-how - it takes real project management. From A Narrow Passage To A Private Outdoor Spa Corner

A courtyard between two walls is usually written off as dead space. Here it became the most private part of the property: a hot tub set against the natural stone wall, sheltered from the wind and out of sight, a few steps from the existing lounge and glass wellness cabin. Because the base, the levels and the power supply were prepared in advance, the spa could be lowered in, connected and filled without changing anything in the surrounding finishes.
